Based in Ayrshire, Scotland, DAS Design Ltd spans fields of architectural design, master planning, construction management, development, design-led research and exhibition design.

Founded in 2005 by Andy Steel (BA Hons, Dundee, 1993), the studio has since expanded, with Piotr Lesniak (March, Edinburgh, 2009) becoming Director in 2024. Today DAS Design has design teams in the UK and Poland, with projects across Scotland, England, Wales and Poland.

Through association with Ecobrix Design & Build, DAS Design can offer an ‘A-Z’ set of services, from surveys and feasibility studies, through architectural and interior design, to construction and hand-in.

DAS Design excels where others struggle—at delivering high-quality, site-specific designs at affordable rates. Thanks to our diverse profile and international collaboration, we can provide excellent value for money, with scope of services to match all budgets and sizes of projects, from domestic extensions to large commercial enterprises.

In 2021 he started Cruth Ltd (now Ecobrix Construction Ltd), a development company with three residential projects completed and another currently on site. In 2023 Andy became a Director of Ecobrix Ltd (formerly Durisol UK), manufacturer of a modern, low- carbon Insulated Concrete Framework system for walls.
